DANISH quality assurance scheme

Danish Agriculture and Food Council provides two standards: DANISH Transport Standard and DANISH Product Standard. On top of this we also have the Global Red Meat Standard.

DANISH Transport Standard

DANISH Transport Standard covers requirements on DANISH-approved hauliers, exporters and DanBred P/S distrubutors, collection stations, cleaning and disinfection stations. Focus is on vehicles entering Denmark from abroad, which have been in contact with hoofed animals. The intention is to prevent outbreaks of diseases such as swine fever and foot and mouth disease in Denmark.

DANISH Product Standard

DANISH Product Standard is founded on five key elements: Responsibility, Quality, Safety, Innovation and the Consumer.

The DANISH Standard is the farmer’s mark of assurance, confirming, that Danish legislation and the industry's own requirements have been adhered to, providing them with a recognised platform in the global marketplace

Global Red Meat Standard

The GRMS is a standard specifically developed for the processes of slaughtering, cutting, deboning and sales of red meat and meat products. In contrast to other more generic food industry quality schemes, the GRMS has been tailored to the specific requirements that apply to the meat industry.
